What the heck is going on?

Digital River is a company staffed by idiots who can't run a competent service. They also sold a significant amount of pre-orders to PlayCanada (who will also never be getting my money) so they can scalp orders at outrageous prices. I'm done with DR and I'm done with giving Namco my money.

thanks for this great thread :) ,may i ask one last thing maybe u found the answer before me ,if my Status says "Order Cancelled by System" ,it means my order been cancel or its some kind of error on the web site?

"Order Cancelled By System"? That's a new one =P
I tried calling Digital River right now and ask them what that message means but they insisted on an order number. If you give them a call the can tell you what happened with your specific order. Let us know if everything worked out!

Edit: Can you also tell me what time you ordered? I have a feeling this might be stock issues.

First, thanks for the consolidated thread!

Question: In your section titled "Why does it say "Sold Out!" on my order details?" and you note that ideally your order status should say "In Progress", is this indicating that an order is actually being boxed for shipment, or does it mean that people are having their payments processed? I originally pre-ordered and paid through the NiNoKuni Starter on Namco's site on July 12, 2012, and I know DigitalRiver is lol when it comes to shipping (SquareEnix still uses them to fulfill their online orders as well for whatever reason), but some clarification would be great.

My order status just shows my original information and the product name - no "In Progress" or anything. To clarify for anyone who may be wondering, the "Boxed Shipment" line on the invoice/status does *NOT* mean the shipment was sent - that is part of the actual product name.

I pre ordered back in August and thought I was charged then. Turns out they withdrew the money for confirmation purchases and then credited it back. I thought this was all paid for! Haha. I have not received any updates but my card was charged late last night and under my order history it now says "boxed shipment" underneath the item name (and ps: I'm pretty sure the fact that the item name now lists SOLD OUT-NI NO KUNI Wizard Edition, etc. is because that is how the WE is categorized in their system...not an indication of whether you will get it or not, in fact I think it changing from the red "your order will be shipped after the release date of 1/22/13" message to the black standard item description is a good sign.) I still cannot review my invoice or track the package but I'm not too worried about it. I expect to get it by tomorrow (I chose 1 day shipping). Can't wait! That unboxing video had me drooling.

Edit: It might be helpful for those who are posting about various status messages regarding shipping to specify which shipping method they chose. It would make sense that my order says "boxed shipment" because I paid for the one day shipping. If others chose a slower shipping method, that would explain why they are seeing "in progress." Just a hunch.

i just gave them a call and they says they need verify my order credit card and thats gonna take about 72 hours 0.0 ,also one last thing im not from the state ,and my cousin help me to order this game and he paid it with his credit card (i will pay him back :) ) ,but then they change my status to "REQUISITION_HOLD_FRAUD_ERROR" ,also i have shipped the game to my cousin addressee ,so why make it so difficult to buy a game with this web site!

Just FYI, "Boxed Shipment" is part of the original product name when processed by DigitalRiver per my post immediately before yours; it was dropped from the product name when Namco updated it with the SOLD OUT! I did not pay for overnight shipping, I paid for whatever was $11.87 at the time per my original invoice (I cannot see mine on the site, but printed a PDF copy at the time of purchase). If you are referring to your email confirmation, they will differ:

If you click on your Order History (but not the order itself) what does it say in the status column?

Edit: It seems like if you have more than one order with the Namco Store, you get taken to a page that lists all your orders plus a status on that order. Those who only have one order reportedly get taken to that single order...maybe I should just get rid of that part.

Same as everyone else, pre-ordered the Wizard's Edition back on July 19th of last year. Club Namco tracking site is buried right now, but on the occasion that it lets me in, I see no tracking info, order has not been processed.

Credit card was charged three days ago, still no update. Does not even show up as 'in progress' anywhere. If I go to the findmyorder.com site and put in my info, I get to the invoice, if I click on the 'view Invoice' button, 1 in 15 times it loads the invoice, but still shows no status -- no "In Progress", "Shipped", "Processing", nothin. Just completely devoid of useful information.

Not for nothing, but it is pretty ridiculous that I could go to the store today and buy the game off the shelf sooner than my 'pre-order' will arrive (or maybe even ship!).

I guess I shouldn't complain though, considering that DigitalRiver has cancelled hundreds of people's orders already, at least they haven't (knock on wood) cancelled mine yet -- and I already see the charge on the card, so...

Thanks! So...where is everyone viewing this "order status"? I can't seem to find it anywhere. I was able to access my invoice finally though.
