Nothing to do with this forum, no. But its just that the other company's forum had been open for 1 year and they only had like 200 members. They wanted to do something to get more.

There are definately better ways. But anyway, back on topic, the "Most Users Online" thing is correct

Okay. ;) Oh, it could also have been because Namco was seeing if it was Okay. You know, testing it and such. Could have asked people via email to do so.

Very much doubt that. They would have tested it internally and no-one here has said they received an email to state the forums were back up. I doubt Namco would care that much :D

Well, another website I know (Just Flight Forums) let people check stuff. Maybe Namco didn't do it but its not entirely impossible. ;)
