I totally agree with you on that, the Airport stuff is expensive!

Tips:

1) You cannot counter DFM unless you're levelled.
2) "Normal" controls auto-level you're plane even during maneuvers. There is no easy way to counter DFM on "classic" controls.
3) Multi-target weapons are best.
4) PAK-FA is unlocked when you beat campaign. It makes the game easier.
5) On the bombing mission, the B2 is much harder to maneuver the RADAR compared to the B1.
6) DFM with special weapons provides some serious damage but the tracking is not as good as a red-circle lock with normal missiles.

7) The final fight - If you cannot beat it and happen to be using the "original" controls swap back to the "normal/default" controls. Despite flying worse due to restricted movement you're ability to counter DFM is much higher and it's all about survival. Break off DFM before he counters you will also help run the time without giving him "good" shots. When he begins his bombing run kill him.

Do you guys know where to find and shoot down the F-20 special color in the belkan war?, I can't just find him. I've shot down a special f-20 in mission 5 but no SP unlocked at all. I've read in one site It appears in mission 8b but no still no luck.

Please let me add one personal note because It seems I had completely forgotten how good this game was; just bought an used ps2 to play the old ac games and, to be completely honest, ace combat zero is, in the perspective I see things now the best ac ever made imo, specially the story, the only mature/adult story in ac history. Controls and playability were improved from ac5, and the AI enhancement was a remarkable thing that definitely contributed to the superiority of this game over the rest ac games. I'm just having a blast playing this gem again, but I need to know where the f20 SP is!

Glad to see I'm not the only one still playing the old PS2 Ace Combat games!

To get the F-20A Ace to show up, you need to play Mission 8 as a Soldier, and destroy all the Targets as quickly as possible. His Callsign will be Falter, I forgot where he shows up, but keep an eye on your radar and you'll see him when he appears.

Btw You say It is mission 8 on soldier, but is It a,b or c?

Hey Pash, I finally found him. Indeed you had to kill all red targets as fast as you could in 8b on soldier, but the plane woudn't appear until the second part of the mission when Excalibur commences to shoot at the allied planes and you have to flee.
