Ace Combat

The Ace Combat series is good, but not great. Assault horizon story was decent. Fires of liberation for me was the best. The graphics were amazing, and so was the gameplay. There was free flight but you weren't able to land and takeoff which kind of sucked. I like ace combat because of its great graphics, missions, planes. The newest one was ok but not as fun as others. Most people might disagree but this is what i believe.

Actually I think most people here would agree with you too. Assault Horizon was alright, and seemed more aimed at getting new fans onboard the series, but I still find the old PS2 games as the best ones.

ACAH is alright. I won't go mad about it.But still the PS2s are the best. ALL OF THEM.

The PSPs are quite good too. Try them out if u have one.

The PS2 era Ace Combats were almost like an escape from the rest of the gaming world: the Grand Theft Autos, Halos, Need for Speeds, Super Smash Bros, and any of the other big releases of the time. They weren't well known, they didn't sell all that well (although AC04 and I think AC5 got the Greatest Hits badge), but they were fun as heck. But best of all they didn't follow the path the industry was heading towards and is only realizing the problems of now: sales first, passion second.
