New Ideas for SC characters.

Post by LOBSTERDOODLE » Sat Sep 25, 2010 11:01 am

Now if you played SC:BD you know that there is a new character, known as Damperrie(Idk how to spell it) and he was awsome and was funny.

Well for SC V I would like to see him return and a couple of new ones.

So here are some of my ideas for a new one(also returning ones)

Half sieg/nightmare. I dont remember what game he was from but id like to see him again.

Nercid: he was scary dood why not!!??

A clumsy/funny knight: now I always wanted a knight, and not one like seig. One with a normal size sword. Whos always trying to do whats right. And his back story could go so many ways, for instance he could be a love intrest for Cassandra or work under Hilde or even be a younger brother.
(sorry for rambiling on but I want a realistic knight, not one with a sword bigger then him, no disrespect)

Native American apache : By best friend is native, and we would both love to see an indian warrior!!! With a tomohawk, and is one with the spirits!!!

A wizard: why not he could wack with his staff that is covered in, ice, fire, lighting, and so on.

Elf: with a dagger and a bow. If you played SC 4 it says that when Hildes dad was a young knight he fell in love with an elf girl. (which is one of the extra characters) Or it can be a guy elf.

The knight that didnt die: what I mean is, Mitsurugi is know for going into middle of wars and killing both sides, well what if a dood survived???? Dun dun daaaa!!!(yes I know theres like 3 people that want to kill him but so what)

A muskateer: sure he might have same moves as Raphael but dood just give him more manly moves.

So thats my idea what about yours!!!

I'll will proposed the following characters, designed by KOEI for Dynasty Warriors games. It's not intended to publish them as official design, but more a concept which weapons a fighter could carry, and which amours and clothing could be used.

I still want one using an eskrima weapon.

and a pure whip, different from the snake sword

Question. What's the difference of Cassandra's weapon to Sophitia's?

Nothing, just the moveset and the colours of the sword and shield.
But the style still includes a sword and a shield...

I dont get Cassandra. What's the good reason that she's in there.

They should put a regular jedi knight. One that we could make our own character creation.

They wanted to replace Sophitia for good, I think.
The original plans for SC2 were to "kill" Sophie and introduce Cassandra. That might imply the reason she must be unlocked.
I read this information very long ago, so I'm not sure if it's accurate or true...
The most obvious reasons for Cassandra's appearance is that they needed her for the flow of the story...

They dont want Sophitia?! that's hard to believe for me, since I find Sophie with more personality than Cassandra
they shouldn't be putting in characters just for the story, it's a fighting game

There are three categories of people who buy this fighting game:
1) The ones who love the fighting system...
2) The ones who adore the story...
3) The ones who like both of these elements...

I'd place myself in the 2nd category. For me SC is just like an interactive book. However I got completely into the fighting stuff because of it, but I mostly prefer the story. And for me every character who plays a minor to major role in the flow of the story is welcomed for me... (Except Hilde, but I have my reasons, though I've started not to hate her that much... She's still a part of the story)

As for Cassandra, I can only blame her for renting, trying and buying the SC series (SC2 actually) for the first time almost 7 years ago...

This is how I found out about SC2:
7 or 8 years ago we bought a PS2... Well, without any games... So my parents bought demos just to stop moaning. They were two actually. Anyway, the second demo, which I think it was No. 42 contained the demo of SC2, Popstar, Tak, etc... As a girl, I played Popstar so may times that one day I got bored with it. So I tried the other stuff...
Everything was meh, Tak was OK, but what really kept me interested was SC2. In the demo, only two chars were available. Guess who... Nightmare and Cassandra!!! I was so scared of Nightmare that I turned off the PS2 the first time I tried it. But then I chose Cassandra. I really loved her, because she had a strong personality (her English voiceover and lines were excellent comparing to the ones now), her weapon was cool and because she was the first Greek fighter in a game, for me, at least.
So I rented it and I switched to a harcore Xianghua and Talim fan. My sister became a Talim fan so I stopped using her... Anyway, I got so much into it that I bought it. I deleted everything and started SC2 again. That time I became again a hardcore Cassandra fan and completed the whole game twice with her. As the time passed I was looking for something new, so I forgot about my fear and started playing Nightmare...
This guy is the reason I still play this series, as he is sooo interesting, while Cassandra got somehow crazed in the next games... To make things clearer if, somebody started playing SC from SC2 and used Nightmare he had to choose which one of the two guys to play (you know who). When it comes to my situation, I started using Siegfried, as he looked like the 3rd costume of Nightmare in SC2 and then found out that he and the new Nightmare were once the Nightmare in SC2...
As for Sophitia, she came as the copy of Cassandra to me, though this is not true. But that's what happened, as SC2 was my first game and I had to unlock Sophie. There are other reasons I didn't play Sophie too. She was difficult for me to learn her, I got used to playing Cass, Cass was prettier than Sophie, Cass hed better weapons than Sophie and Sophitia is not actually a Greek name, Sophia is, which means wisdom.
Silly or not, these are the reasons I never cared about becoming a Sophitia fan and simultaneously these are the reasons I preffered Cassandra...

I know this is a thread for new character ideas. But I wouldn't mind seeing my favorite bonus character from III return (Luna). Though her style was the chinese blade, I figured it would be a more longsword type style and would better benefit her background story from the tales in III as well. Not to mention it wouldn't rob Xianghua of her uniqueness either

I would enjoy a katar using character that isn't a weird looking zombie guy (I know this is a far fetched request, but I'm a sucker for characters that 'don't' booty bump, roll around on the floor and explode, or explosively dry hump the enemy, causing them to fly 20 feet in the air. )

Also, I liked the idea of dagger and bomb (more so the dagger, less so the bomb) as it was displayed in III. There could be an easy way to incorporate that without taking any uniqueness out of other styles as well.

and how's about an axe guy who's not so strong and an elbow blade guy who's not so acrobatic.
