When we click on the red icon in the top-right of a post to report, where does it go?

I know the mods' in boxes get pretty full from user requests, users bickering about each other, this, that, and whatnot. Which is why I rarely PM mods/admins; they have more important things to do than resolve conflicts of squabbling users... or do they? :) j/k...

Anyway, I was just wondering where the reports go when a user reports posts by using the red icon in the upper right corner of the posts. I've used this feature before, and was wondering what happens to them.

dang... and I thought being a mod was all fun and games (no not really). That must be annoying as heck sometimes. (not just the reports, but the BS in general)

I don't really mind it, and since most of my time I am on or near a computer I'll see the reported post email as soon as it comes in, log in the forum and be there to send it on it's way to spam ****.

i think ive only seen 4 in my time as a mod.

most of the time we seem to catch this stuff before you guys see it.

My reports have been mostly breaches of rule 1 and rule 6; usually it's the same user and multiple reports. I don't bother reporting spams, because I figure those people get banned relatively quickly. It's the rule 1 and 6 breakers that ruin the forums, sometimes.

By sometimes - I mean breaking rule 1 can be a fine line/subjective breach or a plain in-your-face break. I only report the latter when users display a pattern of inappropriate behavior.
