i dont remember do they do that thing that makes a dynamically generated gif image that has a security code on it that bots cant read?

i heard those worked remarkably well. i dont know if they still do or not.

They work extremely well. Each letter and word is never the same and it doesn't resemble any known font. Even Google uses it.

i wonder what it would cost for a company to implement it? and how well it works for languages that use non roman characters like japanese.

Well, right now we have the entire first page of the Off-Topic section that filled with spam. Our own topics have been nudged to the 2nd page too. I know it was meant for off-topic, but I don't think anyone had this in mind....

And for some time now, they've started attacking other sections of the forum too. I still can't belive one had the guts to post in the forum rules. :D

EVERY single part of the forum has been hit to day :O
never seen that before where every part of a forum has been hit with spam
most of the spam is by the same person/ bot
