Three things. First and foremost, let's not get any heads busted over this. That means you, hothead, so don't post that flaming message or send the opposing users hate mail. Remember, they're all airplanes, and we love anything that can fly. Preferably quickly.

Second, out of those 2 planes, I tend to meld the F-14's, 15's and 16's together. They all have a bunch of missiles and pretty much blow anything in it's way...to pieces. If I cared to research more (which I don't, so spare me the 5-page report), i'd differentiate better, but, alas, I don't. The Hornet is pretty cool, with it's speed, maneuverability and how it take-off's and lands on the cruisers. As for which plane is better...I have absolutely no idea. I'll be shamed if 2 American planes have to fly against each other anyway .

Third....well, I better not say it. Too mean :P

for my opinion, i think that they both are good, the problem is that the cat is getting old and the hornets might sting it:D

The only reason the F-14 is retired is that it takes longer, and cost more to maintain.

Brilliant reasoning you made there Sherlock, where'd you find the information?

By the way, for those of you who have the flight simulator "X-Plane", there's a downloadable aircraft called "F/A-14E Slam Cat". It's basically a Tomcat with more maneuverability and F/A-18E wings.
