It's reached the point recently where I no longer delete spam posts when I see them if they don't have any links in them, and instead leave them up. It turns out the spam actually contribute more to topics than half the forum... even if they're bots making the replies.

The new Dashboard sucks. A baby could organize this better than they did. Seriously, why do they insist on updating the Dashboard with more broken, useless and unorganized mess in the first place. I can't even find a game I'm looking for on the Marketplace anymore. Before, it used to be all perfectly lined up in one place. You wanted to know what kind of content was available on the marketplace for a game? Simple, you just pressed one button, and all the games would pop up in alphabetical order each with their specific content inside. All the DLC, Gamer pics, videos and themes would all be nicely listed in each game's title.

Now though, I have to click through a dozen fudging titles and dashboard sections to find one thing. I want to know what's available for this game? Oh okay, no problem, well first just click this DLC section, scroll though the list of games, find your title, oh no DLC. Okay now go to the Gamer pics section, find your game, find Gamer pics. Now go back out and here to find the rest of the items for that game...

Really? You couldn't let me view everything for a game in the same page? You had to make me jump windows and sections just if I wanted to see if a game had something in a different categories? And that's not even the worst thing. I've spent an hour peeking around this new Dashboard, and I have still yet to find the game I'm looking for. An entire hour, and I can't find a specific game!

And you want to know why? That's because they've not only decided to separate DLC items, but also games too between Arcade games, and Retail games. So not only can you no longer view Arcade and Retail games together at once, but that essential means a majority of games are impossible to search for on the Dashboard now too. Why? Because the retail games section does not include physical copies. Instead, it's only games available to download digitally. That right, it means if your game isn't on Games on Demand to download digitally, then it's impossible to find because it doesn't even have it's own category.

And speaking of categories: You have an App Section. And then you don't put your most important apps in that section. Xbox Music? What is that doing in an entirely different place of the Dashboard. And what happened to Facebook and Twitter apps? Even your search functions can't find them, let alone your poorly presented App Viewer function with clobbered marketplace. In fact, the search function seems more like a necessity thanks to your failure of a navigation UI.





Oh, and if you're going to do a beta, iron out your fudging bugs before you release your stupid update. Constant freezing at the menu due to ads not loading? Really?

I'm strongly considering going over to the PlayStation as my primary console for when the next generation comes out. Obviously it'll depend on what each console does as well, but if this is a taste of things to come for Xbox, count me alienated already. Some of the things they've done lately is just ridiculous, the Dashboard is just the latest one in a long string of things. I'm already on the PS3 now and using it more and more on a daily basis, so it's already a strong possibility for me to leave come next gen. Sony recently has been doing a lot more decisions that make more sense than Xbox has. For one, they've never changed their Dashboard...



Soo, come E3 next year you want to jump ship together? hehe



EDIT: And now Sony's screwed up their store too. I give up... I'm going back to my N64.
