Dubai Airshow

Hi guys,

Tomorrow I'm heading over to the Dubai Airshow. Hoping to get lots of good pictures. Someone who works in the Air Force told me there was going to be a Nighthawk over there, so looking forward to that! There's also gonna be some Eagles and Falcons from what he told me. I'll be sure to take pictures of them too.

Its gonna be a blast!

Thanks CF-18. I'm really looking forward to it. I wanted to go yesterday but I missed it. It ends on the 15th, so I'll be there the next day as well.

Just one thing. If they have an F-117A DO NOT touch it. Most likely USAF Security Forces (USAF MPs) will be guarding it with anything from fists to M249 SAWs:eek: At my airshow the two were guarded by Security Forces with M16A2s with M203 grenaide launchers:eek: Then they put one on the flightline to reduce the risk more.

And try to get me some good picks of some Block 60 Vipers:)

From what the guy told me, the security over there is very high. Especially since the USAF came. They have around 12 MPs guarding each aircrafts from the Air Force, and loads more on the more advanced ones such as the B-1B, F-117A and others. Heck, they've even been ordered to shoot to kill!

There's even a sigh new the entrance saying you can be shot if trespassing.

And try to get me some good picks of some Block 60 Vipers

I'll try to get a bit of everything. I got loads of film with me, got the cameras ready and everything.

Hmmm....very expensive American stuff....right near the terrorist capital of the world....Ha no surprise:D !

Since I have (despite being 14) a clearance higher that an average civilian (I'm a Staff Sergeant in the Air Force Auxilary) We were able to get through security at my airshow in a breeze. **** one cadet had walked through with his boot knife! I got to get a little more touchy feely with the planes....and almost kissed an F-15:o

Well, I'll have to go the long way with the security. Although I might be able to get in faster since I know some of the pilots there.

Hey, I just check and it turns out there's gonna be an AWACS Sentry over there!

Never had an E-3 at mine. Almost had an F-22A, V-22, and Harrier but they all had to bug out as did the B-1B. But I did get some very nice shots of a B-2A:)

Is there a website for the airshow? Prefrebly with an English translation but if not I'll take it and do what I do with Japanese, Russian, German, and French sites. Look around until it come out to what I want.

T/A-50, Typhoon, and An-124 too eh?.....AND A MiG-29OVT?!? GRRRRRRRR!

Apart from the B-1B and E-3A I've seen if not sat in the US Armed Forces version of each.
