StarWars Beat-Em-Up

Post by Stoneytail » Sat Sep 29, 2007 1:09 am

This is for the developers at Namco but if the public wanna comment please feel free.

Who doesn't like StarWars? Not many, especially if they are gamers and there are droves of us who can't get enough of beat em up titles. However when it comes to StarWars games, if head to head fighting takes place, it is lack luster, restricted is so many ways....basically it's dull, boring.

Given Namco's reputation for Beat Em Ups over the years with Tekken and Soul Calibur I would assume that you would be a first choice for Lucas Arts to collaborate with and produce a sterling title to do justice to a Jedi fight.

The prospect of a StarWars game that focuses purley on combat is mouth watering and I am sure there would be a consensus of people who would agree that such a game is long over due.

Yes, Jedi combat focuses as much on weapons as it does on hand to hand, but Soul Calibur worked a treat. Given that kind of treatment I cannot see how a StarWars beat em up could fail to attract.

I get down on my virtual knees, please you guys, step up to Lucas Arts do your thing and produce a fighting title that would please the public across the board.

Hope you do,

Stoneytail

Why do you want that? I hated the fact Gundam was made into a beat them up. But remember Dynasty Warriors isn't Namco/Bandai, only the Gundam version has Bandai Namco's name on it. It would have to be made by Lucasarts if anything and the creators of Dynasty Warrior.

ha,ha and tell me the last time Lucas Arts made a GOOD beat-em-up! Namco rock in the genre, if you do something well, then keep doing it! and Gundam sucked anyway, it wasn't something that should be put into such a game.

I disagree with Gundam Sucking, personally I like more simulation Gundam games which are very rare, one reason I liked Crossfire over most Gundam games to this date despite all the negative reviews. But yes I agree with that Gundam should not of been a beatem up game. I got bored of Gundam Battle Assault, and the Federation Vs Zeon style Gundam games, so why woudl I want another press button fast Gundam game?

I want something i cna use my brain a bit more, but yet not be a Strategy game ie like MS Saga... hehe

I've always dreamed of a Gundam Cross with Mech Warriors, but that dream has yet to be achieved though Crossfire was kind of close, but it still had the small maps, annoying lock on. hehe
