The aircraft become unmanned target drones during their time at AMARC after a visit by a BAE doctor. All flight worthy F-4Gs and most RF-4Cs became drones.

Who was it that was involved in the target lock accident? I know it was some F-4.

I know that a JASDF F-15D was accidently shot down by another JASDF F-15C when an AIM-9 the F-15C was carrying went haywire.

I know some Target lock accidents. I think another F-4 was involved during the Vietnam war with a lock-on accident. It was protecting a bomber, and a bogey came in. He fired a missile, but found out he was locked on to the bomber instead of the bogey. The bomber was still airborne though.
