One Piece: Pirate Warriors Physical Release?

Post by Vaughngief » Thu Apr 12, 2012 7:47 pm

Hello, I'm new to this forum, but I felt the need to make this thread. I'm sorry if there is a clutter of One Piece threads here, I just felt the need to make one for this specific topic. As many of you know One Piece: Pirate Warriors is being brought over to North America, which is awesome! The problem is that it's being marketed only as a digital title. While I can understand why Namco Bandai would do this for One Piece (mainly because it didn't get it's time to shine in the U.S. due to 4kids) I think they should give the game a chance at retail with a physical copy. With the manga selling very well and Funi's sets gaining more popularity, I'm sure the game would sell well enough to justify a physical release.

I know many fans would love a physical copy of the game and would be very grateful if one was released. I'm not saying I won't buy it if not (I'll support the series in anyway I can) I just feel games as big as this should be released with a physical copy.

P.S. - I plan to buy a PS3 just for this game.

I fully agree on your points, it's very disappointing as I'm a huge fan of almost all the games Namco Bandai releases (and an even bigger One Piece fan). I guess this will be the first European game I purchase as Europe is getting a physical release of this game.

In Japan... oh god... I wish I lived in Japan to get this game... (T.T) A freaking gold PS3 with Luffy(New world version) on it... and a small map of the grand line I believe on the PS3... it's not even a skin or anything it's just made that way.

I wish I could've gotten it here... But One Piece is pretty much "THE" anime and manga in Japan... And looking at America... I doubt there would ever be that great of a fanbase for One Piece here. SO!

If I have to be the greatest One Piece in America I will!!! Yeah you heard me! Any other One Piece fans in America I have this to say! "You want to compare fandum well mine is bigger!" ~Paraphrase...

Yeah I said it... When I fainlly got One Piece Unlimited Adventure with the booklet and everything... Ah man, I prayed to it... I prayed to it...

I kept the recent even, so I remember that day... I even called the store to tell them to hold it for me right when I saw it was at a store near me... Best, Day, EVER.

I have a dog tag with the Straw Hats mark on it...

I dislike the dubs... Four kids and Funi... But I have every episode Funi has dubbed none the less... and the movie! Just to support One Piece... man... it's a 17 year olds dream. (>.0)

But um yeah Pirate Warriors... I here it'll be pretty cool stuff. Great replay value I guess. Even though it's a beat'um up style like Temco always does... (sense it's being made by Omega force and such) I guess it has an rpg like style also... and sense it's One Piece anyway... I mean come on. Luffy beating over 100 people... that's not all that much to him. A game style like this works with One Piece really I see no problem with it... As long as your a true fan anyway it wouldn't matterif it was a piece of poop. (>.0 Yes I'll go that far!)

Was I gonna say anything important?
