Per the email I just received:
"Digital River is very sorry for the problems you had ordering NAMCO BANDAI's Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch™ - Wizard's Edition. Regretfully, we must inform you that because of an error in our ordering system, the available inventory of Wizard's Edition was oversold by mistake. As a result, we were unable to fulfill your order because it was placed after the stock was depleted. You will receive an official order cancellation notice within 24-48 hours."

Now mind you I have had a payment pending for 2 days now on my bank account. So i'm supposed to believe they took the money and then realized they didnt have the item? Not to mention I canceled my Gamestop pre-order for this so i'm out that as well. What a huge clusterf**k!!

I just received that email too. I'm probably not even gonna bother buying the regular edition anymore.

I got the cancellation email as well. My card has already been charged. I'm going to watch it closely to ensure that the charges are reversed. They gave me a coupon code for $20 off "anything" on their store.

what the ****...after calling twice and having the person tell me that my order is ready and it will be shipped soon, I just receive an email that it has been cancelled...what the **** is going on here...so u authorize my card, my order says its in process...I call twice and u verify its all good. then u cancel it? this is terrible terrible service and I will never be doing business with Namco and Digital River again...

me neither...I don't usually buy games day 1 cause they drop In price so fast...guess I will just wait till this one drops to the inevitable $20...thanks Namco...guess u guys have too much money....

so this is their way of contacting us personally? by sending us generic messages that our orders have been cancelled after lying to us?...sigh...

Was this their idea of addressing the issue? Just canceling all the orders they screwed up? Well geez thx Digital River for your timely and customer friendly response.....

How is it possible? I placed my order 10 minutes after the pre-order opened up! How would it be sold out within 10 minutes?!?!?!

I've canceled my original order with amazon. Now I lost the amazon preorder bonus and release-date delivery, plus amazon won't ship until 1-3 weeks... Giving me an useless $20 coupon is pointless. Why would I order from here in the next 2 months, if ever?
