Ok, I know this is along shot, But I had a idea for a DBZ rpg game that is in the style of a JRPG/Fighting game. I was thinking that the newer DBZ games were to easy to get down the combos, So I figured that in this game the combos would go back to the original Budokai games. I wanted the Combos to be harder to learn so that it would take the player longer to master the game controls. The reason I wanted this is because, The latest DBZ were so easy to master that it got boring after about 3 days. So back to my idea. I was thinking a open world game like Fallout or the Elder Scrolls series, that way the player can really get into the DBZ universe and play it the way the player wants to play. The player, being able to gather new armor, martial arts clothing, boots, gloves and accessories. Then be able to equip the items they find in the DBZ Universe. The battle system Is where I think it gets interesting. When you run into an enemy instead of fading into a turn-based rpg, it goes into a Budokai style fighting game. Then here is the curve ball, the way your character learns new techniques is to find a master. After finding a master, like Goku, Gohan or Piccolo, you would train with them like a training mode in the Budokai games. After you could pull off the combo you've learned the technique. Although you would have to put a limit to what techniques you could learn at what level and things like that. Oh and here is another curve ball, I was thinking of a technique fusing mode where you could combined compatible technique to give the character it's own spirit or personality. Of course this would take a long time, But If you take a look at the Elder Scrolls series. It is one of the biggest and most sold games out there now. The graphics wouldn't have to be amazing, just enough to keep people happy and then it would easier to make more and more characters and items.
I'm sorry but I don't have enough game design ability to give you a demo, But I would love to be apart of a design team working on this title. I will accept any criticism you are willing to give, and any idea you think would work for this game.
