New player needing gameplay/controls help

--Hello W-BM community.
--I played Dark Omen for PS1 for 3-4 years & even bought it again on ebay about 5 years ago. I was thinking about it & the fun i had & did a search for a non MMO Warhammer & found Battle March.....That's a lil backround.....

--For Xbox BTW--- I had no problems w/ Dark Omen on a console, & i don't always go PC 1st anymore.. Besides, i need a good strat for console..

----Here's my trouble--I am struggling w/ getting fully familiar w/ the game.. I took the tutorial twice. Once lil while bacvk & last night..I struggle w/ being organized & during battle(skirmish 4now) i'm more focused on getting organized and trying to remember which button combo attatches my hero to what regiments ETC...I'm not a noob gamer,RTS, or Warhammer. Ima thinking maybe this WH might be a lil advanced w/ controls for Xbox.. Until something changes, like for example there's someone here who struggled for a bit w/ controls would step up & assist me, well i will take the mediocre tutorial again for memorization..

--So there ya have it.. WHen my skirmish started and i had everyone positioned etc, i was waay to nervous to go exploring the map because i didn't feel my regiments we're in proper position w/ mele protecting ranged etc..

-----So i ask anyone who couls assist me w/ the basics to get me going. Deeper strategy is not a problem once i get comftorable w/ controls etc..
--Also a explanation for my aid is attaching heroes and attach any to whom. So pointers there would be great...

--I assume after i get to the point where control ios no longer an issue i can then learn from playing, which units are uber & which has strengths against which. All RTS have set ups like this & i get that.

--BTW For what it's worth--I've played many Real Time Strategy games. Fantasy like this one,,SPace SciFi like Star Wars & what not & modern military etc. Well none of them had such advanced controls..In the games defense, I just don't think the devs had console in mind etc..Wouldn't that be something if im 100% wrong and the devs had Xbox in mind 1st LOL...
---I really wanna gesta going w/ this game. It looks awesome & very stacked compaired to the very bland Dark Omen & Horned Rat etc......
